Let me just say this first, we perfected fried chicken. While all this buzz exists around who makes the best fried chicken sandwich, let’s channel it towards the many dope Black chefs and restaurants across North America instead. No shade to all the folks who love a good Popeyes fix (cuz I do too!) but have y’all ever had fried chicken with a jerk honey glaze? Or gone into a black owned restaurant and immediately heard your favourite tune & have a dope conversation with the owner/chef? I have & nothing beats having an amazing meal, knowing who made it & that your dollars are going back into your community.
