Buy Black & Eat good with the BLACK FOODIE challenge

Ordering from Black-owned restaurants is a great way to make a positive impact during Black History Month, but here at BLACK FOODIE we believe that truly supporting Black businesses means showing up for them all year long.

To inspire continued support, we’re working with SkipTheDishes to launch a BLACK FOODIE challenge that will help you choose Black-owned restaurants this month and always. We’re celebrating this special month by doing what we do best – encouraging our communities to order from our local eateries and highlighting some of Toronto’s finest food spots in the process.

The challenge is simple: we’re calling on you to order from at least one Black restaurant each week. This is the perfect opportunity to step outside your comfort zone and sample that one restaurant you’ve been curious about or continue supporting your favourite tried and tested spots. This challenge is your chance discover some of the fantastic Black restaurants in your area and have some incredible food experiences along the way. It’s our hope that you will get to know your local Black restaurants and be inspired to support them regularly.

Not sure where to start? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Toronto has so many amazing Black-owned restaurants to choose from, and with Skip’s help you shouldn’t have to look far. Watch this space for tips, tricks, and highlights of some of the best Black-owned restaurants to order from this month!
